  The memory of a friend

  well it is has been about a month now since one of my closest friends died of a heart attack.

  we were raised together as brother and sister because our mothers were best friends.

  i will not give away much detail because his family are still strong jws and his wife is an active jw as well.

  If it's any comfort... I'll laugh with you, when it's time.. and cry with you now..... I'm so sorry that you lost your friend.

  normally, i don't mind where i'm at in my life.

  i'm forty, no kids, low-paying job, live in a trailer court, etc (and trust me there's more to the etc, then i've already mentioned), but today i had a hard time.. one of my best friends from high school was a big dope head (no offense to the dope heads out there).

  he showed up nearly every day to our first period art class smelling of weed and was generally so whacked out of his mind that he got horrible grades.. he finally graduated - barely - and made it to college.

  Any ideas for a Home Business?

  hi everyone, i know this has been brought up before.

  but i was just wondering, do any of you know of any home business, with an easy start-up, legit, and a nice little income earner.

  i am finding it tough, i am raising 2 teenage boys and my rent has gone up alot, starting dec. 1. .

  Are you looking for a full-time business or a supplemental income? If so, how many hours and what type of income are you looking for?
  What are you currently doing and what thing would you consider as personal talents, experiences, interests, etc...?
  
  I'm not sure about Canada but the US has a LOT of programs to help get women owned businesses off the ground. My wife and I own three small businesses and I'd be happy to share the "good and bad" that we've learned.
  
  Never overlook the obvious or the obscure.... My sister has a small business where she make's clothing for renaissance festivals... she does this in one room of her house, part-time and generates about 60K per year. My wife and I are both professional clowns.. basically for grins on the weekends... there's a lot of volunteer hours but we still make over $150 an hour for playing with kids. I know another lady that makes cheesecakes in her kitchen and sells them to local restaurants... over 40K per year.

  You're not alone, there are lots of people that made sacrifices in the hopes of doing something with more purpose than trying to exceed the economic status quo in this country. Being fooled by someone as sophisticated as Satan (he's been doing this quite a while, ya know)is nothing to be ashamed of... there are plenty of highly educated people that have thrown away a lot more than you and many of those poor bastards are still "in"!
  
  Instead of focusing on the sacrifices that you've made, lets look at what you've got going for you and what you've gained.
  You are now among the elite of the "Ain't gonna fool me again crowd"
  You have none of the liabilities that a wife and children would present.
  You have outstanding communication skills.
  You are a gifted writer.
  You are a very attractive fellow... (I mean that in the most manly way)
  You are a very compassionate person... always among the first to offer support for anyone feeling low.
  You are extroverted without being "cocky".
  You have a fantastic sense of humor.
  You are irresistable to big boobied women.
  You seem to be in pretty good shape, physically.
  You are very intelligent.
  You are a very humble person.
  You are willing to do whatever it takes to survive... jobs etc...
  You have the self-worth and ethics to go through the pain of leaving the WTS.
  You are not a complacent person... you obviously want more.
  
  From the little that I know about you... I'd hire your for just about any job. I think you should try and see yourself as others do. Try not to get stuck in using qualifications of what you "think" you are supposed to have acheived and look at the things that have real "substance" .... Being rich doesn't make you classy... being classy makes you rich!
  
  As far as what you're doing now, be honest... if that was the limit of your capabilties, you'd probably be content....I SERIOUSLY doubt that it is. If you want a better paying job.... Go GET ONE! What have you got to loose by looking? If you need some new surroundings and a fresh start... call me, we've got a spare room at our house.... Texas ain't that bad!

  Sorry 'bout your pain...The only thing that I know of that has ever helped anyone in understanding the dynamics of relationships is reading chapter 4 of M.Scott Peck's book, "The Road Less Traveled"
  
  I even had a weekly study with our teenage daughter based upon this book!
  
  It's pretty powerful stuff.

  I did not know this...

  i was just going through the jw book "delieverance " in the preface it states,the name of three great beings herein made conspicuous are: jehovah the father,and the logos,and lucifer his sons!!!!

  this book is printed in 1926 year before my birth.... dec 2006 issue states that part of the antichrist is those who believe in the trinity... well in this book delieverance it states,catholics,& protestants,are under the supervision & control of the devil & form part of .his visable organization,& therefore constitute the antichrist.. .

  since i dont belong to the catholic or the protestant church .....i just believe i am part of the trinity,( 3 in one) body soul & spirit.... made in his image.... i guess they have at least stuck to this teaching...... the antichrist is anyone who dont follow the teachings of the wt...... on page 214. it talks about false doctrines.... it is written "anyone claiming for themselves the exclusive authority to interpret the scriptures ,for a long time the ecclesiastics kept the people in ignorance of the text of the bible by discouraging them from studying it;.

  You know, there must be some pharmaceuticals that could help him. Has anyone developed a gay "patch", or perhaps a gum of some sort? Then, whenever he felt a bit gay, he could pop some gum into his mouth. LMAO!!! Sorry... there is no "patch" available yet. However, scientist are having some luck with suppositories
